There isn\u2019t only skiing on offer in Auronzo di Cadore and Misurina. As well as the downhill skiing and snowboarding that the permanently snowy slopes of Monte Agudo and Col De Varda offer, there are a great many other exciting, fun things to do in winter at the foot of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. There’s the Centro Sleddog Marmarole at Palus San Marco where you can learn how to guide a sledge pulled by dogs, ice skating at the covered ice stadium with ice hockey matches, broomball and figure skating to watch too, cross-country skiing on well kept tracks, an ice go-kart track which is now known all over the Dolomites as well as our safe driving track, snowmobile rental for exciting trips to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, guided snowshoe excursions in the forests, ski mountaineering and bobsleigh and sledge tracks. Everything you can possibly want from a winter holiday and more is right here in Auronzo di Cadore and Misurina.<\/p>

For anyone who loves skiing and snowboarding, the choice here is endless. 25 km of always perfect slopes for every ability level and with planned snow cover (Monte Agudo in Auronzo and Col de Varda with the Loita slope in Misurina), part of the Dolomiti Superski Area together with Cortina d’Ampezzo and San Vito di Cadore. Mid-way between Auronzo and Misurina, at Palus San Marco, the Somadida forest is the largest forest in the Cadore area and in winter it is turned into a famous cross-country skiing centre with nine circuits.<\/p>

There are a great many tracks and footpaths of all difficulty levels starting from Auronzo which you can do on your own or with an Alpine Guide over the whole of the summer period. The best vie ferrate in and around Auronzo<\/strong><\/h4>

The mountains around Auronzo such as the Marmarole and Tre Cime di Lavaredo massifs are an ideal starting point for any sort of walk or climb on some of the most beautiful vie ferrate (iron roped routes) in the world. TRE CIME ADVENTURE PARK<\/strong><\/h4>

A choice of four different routes to be done singly or in sequence for adults, children or sports people who love adventure and are in search of a great thrill. High routes from tree to tree, pirate ladders, Tibetan bridges, ropes and much more… and all in an ancient spruce and larch forest with the sound of the rushing water of the nearby Ansiei stream in the background.<\/p>

The huts, restaurants and refuges in the Dolomites near Auronzo offer visitors the tastiest delicacies of Ladin cuisine on their great panoramic terraces looking right out onto the slopes where, as well as getting a bite to eat, you can get a tan and relax in the sun year round. Usually family run, our mountain huts give you a taste of traditional cuisine. Local and seasonal specialities (canederli, barley soup, pastin and speck), totally home made pasta and desserts such as apple strudel and barbecued meats and vegetables are all available to food lovers. Mt. Piana is a mountain with a long history but it is most famously associated with the Great War and the deep wounds it left. The Monte Piana Open Air Museum\u2019s mission is to keep the memory of this period alive. A shuttle bus from Misurina to Rifugio Bosi takes you to the museum area or a straightforward hour and a half’s walk takes you up on foot.
